Though tough, and a skilled shooter, Abraham displays aggressive outbursts and has volatile tendencies towards the other group members, but over time he gains a strong sense of respect for Rick and becomes one of his right-hand men.
He is also displayed as being emotionally broken from the pain he endured due to his family being killed by zombies.
